Texture: Wool

I’ve never worn nor do I own any wool pieces in my wardrobe simply because it is too hot in Singapore – but I am incredibly excited to start off my blog by sharing about my favourite new cardigan!

When I first saw this Clara Cardigan; Wool on shopatvelvet, I was immediately drawn to the texture and the print. I’m a huge fan of structured pieces, which was another added plus point. So I decided to be bold and try out something new – thankfully I managed to steal the last piece in the restock yay ✌🏻If you have been following my instagram, you would realise that I own many pieces from Shopatvelvet. They’re an Indonesian shop that sells plain, minimal but unique clothing at absolutely affordable prices – they’re one of my favourites.

I decided to pair the cardigan in 2 very different ways to try out how versatile it can be.

Outfit 1:

I first styled it with a white Nike sports bra and a pair of black culottes for a more edgy and bold look to show the contrast between the cozy and sporty vibes.

Outfit 2:

Alternatively, you could go for a more cozy and clean look by pairing it with a plain white top like I did the second round. To add onto the details, I chose to wear Stone blouse which had a lovely slit at the side (also from shopatvelvet) because their different pieces just go so well together. I decided on a long sleeve top because I love the layering effect it had with the cardigan at the wrists.

The print of the cardigan really stands out and you could actually do without any accessories at all. I added my clay necklace and ceramic ring from Kollidea to finish up the vibe.

All in all, this cardigan has a lovely amount of details for you to go with just plain basics, but it is also minimal enough for you to pair with more striking and bold tops/textures like lace or even sports wear. Lastly, it’s structured and baggy enough for you to actually wear it around Singapore like how I did in my first outfit without getting drenched in sweat ✌🏻

Can’t wait to explore more ways to match this cardigan, and I’m pretty proud of myself for trying out a different texture hahaha. Hopefully the rainy weather stays and I can continue to stay snuggly with this new favourite.

Let me know what you think in the comments!
