My Cozy Jauria

It’s Friday – school’s finally out! I’ve been so busy with trying to survive in clinicals and it’s been a while since I’ve been here – so if you’re still following my instagram and reading this – thank you. Today’s post is on one of my new favourite dresses – do read on for more!

I got this midi dress from The Editor’s Market at a steal – for those who don’t know, how it works there is that the more pieces you buy, the cheaper each piece gets. So grab your mum, sisters, cousins and friends to combine pieces and get the good deals! I rarely shop there – but they do have lovely minimal pieces and sometimes you might find a few of really good material.

I fell in love with this Jauria Mock-neck Midi Dress when I first touched it – I was surprised at how the material is thick and not flimsy, stretchy and really comfortable. I love the drop shoulders and mid-length sleeves – it makes the dress look nicely oversized but not too baggy. The cutting makes it look not too oversized – structured, straight but stretchy and comfortable at the same time. The material is thick – which makes the dress look heavier as well – unlike the cheap flimsy cotton dresses which you could buy everywhere.

One of my favourite details is the bat-wings cutting – it’s so chic and adorable! It also helps to frame your body nicely and makes the whole vibe even more cozy and hobo. This is a really versatile piece because pairing the high neckline with heels would make your outfit sophisticated enough for work – but dress down with a pair of sneakers and you can wear this out for any casual event. I didn’t even pair it with any accessories except my staple watch. The oversized silhouette, dropped shoulders and straight-cut made the outfit so minimal but bold at the same time. It comes in both black and dark grey – but the dark grey goes so much better with the material doesn’t it 😌

I would totally wear this piece both for clinicals and for going out – and I hope you guys liked it as much as I do! Am excited to be sharing a few more outfits the next few weeks. Meanwhile, I am going to SLEEP my holidays away to make up for my severe sleep debt from clinicals. Do drop a comment below to let me know what you think about this outfit. See y’all soon ✌🏻img_3569
