Pinstripe pants has been something I’ve been wanting to get for a long time, because I always felt that it is a very versatile piece that I could use both for casual and work. I love wearing pants and I have this tendency to buy one pair each of different types of pants instead of just wearing jeans all the time. I’ve never been able to get a comfortable pair of pinstripe pants because I am so picky when it comes down to the cutting and material of pants – and I was so glad when I finally managed to get this pair of Tailored Pinstripe Pants from Klarra, a local brand.
This pair is high waisted and slightly tapered towards the end. The cutting is a little tricky as it is pretty small at the waist (thankfully I managed to squeeze in) and it widens quite a bit from the hip onwards. I paired it with my favourite white basic cami and a pair of white slip ons because I wanted a more casual look. I love this white cami simply because of the v-cut and the horizontal line across the straps – I feel that it adds so much more structure to the top, it looks cleaner and it’s much more unique compared to a normal plain v-cut cami.
I’ve also worn this pants with heels for both chic and formal work outfits – all you need to do is to fold up the edges to give it a more tapered look and it changes the vibes completely.
I layered it with one of my new favourite outerwear, which is The Kimono from anaabu, a Malaysian brand. I love the material of the kimono because it is cotton cupro, which smoothens out the stripes and rougher textures of the cap and necklace. It’s huge so it’s really baggy, but yet it’s also structured at the same time, which enhanced the entire slouchy vibe.
I finished it with my adidas cap to add a sporty look on top of the gentle and silky vibes from the kimono and the stripes (and also because I just love wearing this cap so much). For accessories, I added my all-time favourite concrete necklace from a local brand, thehalfhalf studio. They specialise in all things concrete and I love the colour, texture, shape and overall aesthetics of this necklace (and basically everything they sell).
All in all I personally love this outfit a lot, and I hope it gives you guys some inspiration on matching similar clothing! Lastly, MY EXAMS ARE FINALLY ALL OVER and I am excited for the holidays. Hopefully I’ll be able to do up some blog/outfit posts from my trips – let me know in the comments if you want to see them ✌🏻
